How to Easily Fix a Keyboard on Windows Vista

Have you ever turned on your computer and your keyboard just doesn't work? Maybe the top shortcut buttons (i.e. Sleep, Internet, Email, Search, etc) work, but all the other buttons do nothing when you press them! This can get very frustrating and can happen multiple times!

Steps
1, Click the Windows flag at the bottom-left corner of your screen. It may also be on the top left, or top right.
2, Click on "Control Panel".
3, Navigate your way to the "Device Manager":
If you are in the Control Panel's default view, click on "Hardware and Sound". Then, click "Device Manager".
If you are in the Control Panel's classic view, click on "Device Manager".
4, There should be a tree with your computer's name at the very root. Right-click your computer's name and click "Scan for hardware changes". The page should refresh and the "Human Interface Devices" (or HID) branch should open up.
5, There should be several HID's listed with an image on the left side. One of them will have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Right click that device and click "Uninstall".
6, Once again, right click on your computer's name at the root of the tree.
7, Select "Scan for hardware changes" from the drop down menu.
8, Your computer should automatically begin installing the correct and latest drivers for your keyboard. That's it, you're done!
